What a pleasant discovery! You must visit this place if you are up for delicious fresh food, great service, and a cozy atmosphere. Felt just like at home. Huge selection of fish/seafood items. Everything is soooo tasty. And freshly made just in front of you guacamole is something I am ready to come back to every day!
5 stars all around, great service, great chips, great margaritas, fantastic food. Different than any Mexican restaurant I’ve been to.
The food is super tasty. We’ve now been here twice and have loved the food each time. Large selection of food and drinks. Everything from the grill is amazing. The empanadas are a great appetizer
The food was delicious and the service top notch. I meant to add I'm a Tapitio sauce believer now.
Man, I was so pleasantly surprised by this place tonight. The guacamole was excellent, and the topo pollo was staggeringly tasty. My wife enjoyed her chicken fajita salad. The food is Sinaloa-style, so in some ways, it was slightly different from the typical Mexican food in the area. For instance, everything was just a touch spicier. It also can be radically different. For instance, they have a whole section of the menu that is Mexican sushi, which I don’t believe is available anywhere else in this region. The service was efficient and courteous, and we always had someone nearby if we needed anything. A weird test I find is fairly reliable: they have Mexican coke and Jarritos (pretty much every flavor). That may seem like a minor thing, but when a Mexican restaurant goes beyond the fountain drinks to provide staples, you know they’re going the extra mile in other places. I also have to call out the decor. It seems the tables were sourced from some unique artisan and are made from barrels and maybe reclaimed wood, and there are really cool paintings on the backs of the chairs along with what appear to be uniquely painted murals. What I’m saying is someone really put love into this place, and it shows.
Food is really good, Nice Bar Selections. I asked them to create me a special California Vegie sushi roll with a special sauce I told them how I wanted it and they nailed it. We also had the Fajitas and a Steak which was excellent. The Beer and Drinks we spot on. The manger came over to make sure we were satisfied and made us a couple specialty drinks. We have been back several times the tacos are excellent.
El Barco is always a great Friday date night! The atmosphere is always lively and full of laughter and conversation. The VIP margarita with herradura tequila had fresh squeezed lime and fresh fruits that made it taste naturally sweet and flavorful. We decided to be adventurous and try a new appetizer, the TOSTADA DE CAMARÓN COCIDO O PULPO. I was definitely worried because this is a tostada topped with cold cooked shrimp and octopus! But let me assure you the tangy sauce they put on top along with fresh avocado, thin red onion and cucumber all comes together for a delicious fresh bite that helps the seafood taste less fishy and more juicy and fresh! Another thing I never thought I would enjoy is sushi at a Mexican restaurant but this is definitely the place when your husband is craving Mexican and you want a great margarita but sushi too!! The sushi roll I tried I can’t remember the name but it was cooked salmon, avocado and cream cheese fried and drizzled with eel sauce and spicy mayo and sesame seeds. It was phenomenal!! My husband enjoyed a crispy, fresh salad loaded chimichanga he said was good but wasn’t overly impressed. But he did love the sushi roll I let him try half a bite of! Our waiter was very attentive and pleasant. The sushi roll I had was his recommendation based on what others had enjoyed and I’m so thankful I took his advice. The Definitely check this place out for your next date night!
Food is delicious and you get what you pay for, if not more! Drinks are great, and the only advice I have to give is to look at the menu before you go in. It's a very full menu and can be daunting, but I love they have so many options! Great place to go!
