Yavapai Tavern is a great spot for a casual and satisfying meal at the Grand Canyon. Prices are affordable, especially considering the location inside the park. The elk burger was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. A really nice surprise was being offered a free beer right outside when I arrived, which immediately set a welcoming and relaxed tone. The location is extremely convenient, making it an easy stop during a day of exploring. Good food, friendly atmosphere, and great value. Definitely worth stopping by.
Amazing Food And Beer, Tried The Flight Of Beer Grand Canyon Amber Red Is Great. The Melted Elk Burger Os A Must!! Definitely Will Have To Come Back. Ate Outside And It Was So Peaceful And Quiet. The Chips And Salsa Is A Must As Well.
We had an overnight stay and the tavern proved to be the best place for a meal and drinks. Drinks were local made or usual tap beers, we had a cocktail beer and dinner. The food was awesome while we watched the sports in the bar outside seating available as well as a dining hall.
Food and drink were fantastic. Probably some of the best food we had on the trip. Ordering from your phone was interesting and pretty slick. Get rid of the tip function though if there aren't servers. No refills. Had to go get our on waters and straws. No one ever checked on us. In fact, other than the food runner we never saw another employee expect for a plate busser. I hope he got my tip because from what I saw he was the only one who deserved it.
We had a great experience here! All the food came out quickly for it being so busy! As busy as it was, there was no wait and they kept people coming and going. Being at the Grand Canyon, the place was also very big inside and had a gift shop! I ate every last bite of my food and a few bites of my boyfriend's food. He got a burger and pizza which are not shown. I definitely did not leave there hungry. At all. Lol Anyways, yes. I recommend going there over the coffee shops at the points in the canyon bc those were a disaster. One of them was closed, which is why we came here in the first place bc it was the only other place to get food and I was starving. So glad we did!
This is a self serve/order system. Grab menu and waited on the line to order grab a number and server will bring food when ready. We ordered chips & guacamole, squash soup with garnish of pumpkin seed, elk burger with potatoes salad and pickle, pizza with two topping. The dinner satisfied my hunger but I felt it was just it was precooked food that was frozen and heated up. Server were friendly, the tavern area was frigid because visitors came in and out from a door and all the cold came in. I enjoyed the lobby area next to the fire place. Sat there to digest our food and went back to our room
Really enjoyed eating here! The Elk burger was super juicy and full of flavor, and the pizza was nice and cheesy (could have been a bit bigger, though). The kids loved the Mac’n’cheese, perfect size for them. I’m a big fan of their fully digital ordering system, super easy to use and makes the whole experience so smooth. Staff were great too, really friendly and quick. Prices are fair, and the place is easy to get to since it’s right on the street. Definitely coming back!
Did and would come back here again and again. Great outdoor space. Excellent service. Delicious elk burgers. Granny Smith apple cake was as good as any dessert at the fancy El Tavor. The Arizona Sunset cocktail was delicious. The appetizers are sizeable.
