The biggest drawback of this place is how the customer service is managed. Upon arrival, the experience felt chaotic with no clear system in place. There are no reservations, no host to guide guests, and customers are expected to find their own seating and place orders independently. While I understand the concept of first-come first-served dining, it can be difficult to navigate especially during peak hours. As first-time diners, the atmosphere felt tense, with guests competing for tables and little to no assistance from staff during the process. However, the food makes up for the initial frustration. Everything we ordered was excellent and came within a decent time frame. My friend and I shared a grilled cheese sandwich, an omelette with three toppings and toast, a lox cream cheese sandwich, a beautifully crafted cappuccino, and we ended the visit with their house-made ice cream. Each item was well prepared and enjoyable. If you plan to visit, go after 2:00 PM. Once the rush slows down, the atmosphere improves significantly and the experience becomes much more pleasant.

Stopped by Yellow Cup Cafe for breakfast on my last day in Toronto, definitely a great choice. Food: I had the sweet butter and syrup waffle with sunny-side-up eggs, which struck the perfect balance of sweet and filling. The waffle was light but flavorful, and the eggs were cooked just right. My wife had the French toast, which she said was absolutely delicious and perfectly portioned. Service: Service was excellent — everyone working was clearly busy but stayed attentive, polite, and professional. They made sure our orders were correct and checked in regularly without being intrusive. The overall experience felt welcoming and smooth. Aesthetic: The cafe has a cool aesthetic, with a nice open window and pseudo-barn style that lets in the crisp morning air. It’s bright, airy, and a comfortable spot to enjoy a relaxing breakfast.

This place has an extremely unique vibe. It has coffee station, where you can choose which coffee you want - refills for 50c. The breakfasts are well priced, they got a bunch of sandwiches/wraps and crapes. I got: Breakfast special for 13$. (4 stars). I choose bacon and everything bagel. It also comes with a coffee Everything was good, but there was nothing special about it. Lots of people here seem like regulars and just come for a coffee and to relax/work. The servers are friendly but it is order at counter and pay then they deliver the food to you. It is pretty cramped especially in winter with everyone having winter jackets.

Really the coolest brunch spot I've visited. It was charming, a little cozy and the food and drinks were amazing. I got the avocado toast, which came with 2 slices with perfectly well dresses avocados. It was light and yet filling. The green glow smoothie was refreshing. Highly recommend checking out this place. The guests I went with also enjoyed their varieties of eggs, Benedict and coffees they ordered. Service was good.

Super cute breakfast/lunch spot! Was quite busy on a Saturday morning, but we were still able to get a table. Love the atmosphere here, and despite being busy, the noise level was impressively minimal. Food menu is quite extensive offering both sweet and savoury options. Nutella strawberry waffle was pretty good!

Very generous portions and the food was good. The only downside is that the interior space is a bit tight--comfortable for two people, but three would be too crowded. If the weather is good, their terrain can be a good place for chatting.

We recently visited Yellow Cup and had a wonderful experience. We ordered a cappuccino, a veggie sandwich, and the Nutella waffle with strawberries and bananas — everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The cafe has a small, cozy vibe that makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed. We loved the cheerful all-yellow theme, which creates such a bright and happy atmosphere. The attention to detail in both the decor and the food presentation really stood out. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and everything was reasonably priced, which made the whole experience even better. My friend and I truly enjoyed our time here. We left feeling happy and satisfied, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. We highly recommend Yellow Cup to anyone looking for a cute, cozy spot to enjoy great coffee, tasty food, and a warm, inviting environment.

We came from Waterloo to try this place, and we were excited to have our brunch as the reviews are good. However, we were so annoyed of finding the table. Actually, we were shocked that they don't have any reservation policy what most of the restaurants have. As we couldn't find any table, we asked the staff to cancel the order, but it was not possible. At least the staff helped us to get the small tables at the corner. Fortunately, after we got our orders we were feeling better cause the food were delicious. Overall, the interior and the food are satisfying except finding the tables.
